About Gabay Collective
Gabay Collective is a creative wellness community that encourages people to slow down, reconnect, and live with intention through creativity, food, and meaningful connection.
Inspired by the Filipino word gabay, meaning guidance, our mission is to create spaces that gently guide people back to themselves. In a world that often celebrates constant productivity, we believe there is value in pausing, creating, gathering, and finding joy in the everyday.
Rooted in calm, culture, and community, Gabay brings together thoughtfully curated experiences that nourish both creativity and well-being. From hands-on workshops and intimate gatherings to shared meals, reflective conversations, and restorative retreats, each experience is designed to cultivate connection, with yourself, with others, and with the stories that shape us.
Our work extends beyond in-person events. Through our website, social media, and digital resources, we share inspiration for intentional living, creative practices, seasonal recipes, wellness rituals, and stories that encourage a slower, more meaningful way of life. Whether you're joining us in person or from home, Gabay is a place to learn, reflect, and grow alongside a supportive community.
For creatives, makers, and aspiring entrepreneurs, Gabay also offers mentorship rooted in balance and sustainability. We believe success shouldn't come at the expense of your well-being. Instead, we encourage building a life and body of work that reflects your values, honors your creativity, and leaves room for rest.
Whether you're navigating a busy career, caring for loved ones, pursuing a creative passion, building something new, or simply searching for a place to breathe, Gabay meets you where you are.
Because sometimes, the most meaningful journey isn't becoming someone new…it's finding your way back to yourself.
Meet the Founder
I'm Melody Anne Lorenzo, a Filipina immigrant, woman of color, wife, mom, storyteller, creative entrepreneur, and community builder.
Many people first came to know me as the Pinay Pie Lady, founder of Sweet Condesa, where I shared Filipino-inspired desserts and experiences that celebrated culture, connection, and the stories food has the power to tell. What began as a passion for baking grew into something much larger: a way to bring people together around the table and create moments of belonging.
Over time, I realized that building something meaningful isn't only about what we create, it's also about caring for the person creating it. After years of balancing work, entrepreneurship, family, and creative pursuits, I discovered that slowing down wasn't stepping away from purpose; it was the very thing that allowed me to reconnect with it.
That realization became the foundation of Gabay Collective.
Inspired by the Filipino word gabay, meaning guidance, Gabay is a creative wellness community rooted in creativity, food, culture, and intentional living. It's a space for anyone seeking to reconnect with themselves, explore their creativity, find nourishment through meaningful experiences, and build a life that feels aligned, not just accomplished.
Through curated gatherings, workshops, storytelling, shared meals, digital resources, and mentorship for creatives and aspiring entrepreneurs, my hope is to create spaces where people feel supported, inspired, and reminded that growth doesn't have to come at the expense of well-being.
I believe some of life's most meaningful moments happen around a table, in quiet moments of reflection, and in the simple act of making something with our hands. My work is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with what matters most, and create a life that feels as nourishing as it is fulfilling.
